Timothy Glass, PhD, Associate Dean for Research and Professor of Chemistry.

Dr. Glass joined the chemistry faculty in 2003. Before becoming Associate Dean, Dr. Glass served as Chair of the Chemistry Department for five years. Dr. Glass earned his BA in Chemistry from Franklin and Marshall College and his PhD from Stanford University as an NSF pre-doctoral fellow. He was subsequently awarded an NIH Post-doctoral fellowship at Columbia University. His primary research and teaching interests focus on Organic Chemistry. Specifically, he studies fluorescent sensing of neurotransmitters. Professor Glass has authored over 50 articles, has been awarded six patents, and received more than $6 million in external research funding.
