Read on to learn how three graduating seniors are on their way to post-graduation success after completing marketing and communication internships with the College of Arts and Science dean's office.

It is so fulfilling to walk around campus and see designs that I made. It makes me feel like the real deal.
What was your favorite part of this internship?
My favorite part was getting to see how a professional communications team works. My team is amazing and provided a great environment that allowed for mistakes while pushing me to be my best. Everyone on the A&S team has been so supportive, understanding, and fun to work with. I am sad to say goodbye but excited to keep working with people like them.
What's next?
After Graduation, I will spend a couple months traveling before starting my full-time Graphic Design role for McCord Design Agency in St. Louis. I am very excited for this next step but sad to say goodbye to my amazing support system in Columbia.

It felt like a proper culmination of everything I learned and was a blast to take charge of.
What led you to apply for this internship?
My friend, who was also an intern at the time and loved the experience, recommended I apply. I walked into it hoping to gain more experience in the strategy/analytics side of the field and get a better understanding of where my skills lie in a professional environment.
What was your favorite part of this internship?
My favorite experience was building a campaign from the ground up. I really enjoyed seeing my findings be the baseline for a fully-fledged campaign that not only played to my strengths as a creative but also did so in a way that was accessible and interesting on multiple platforms.

These projects really took me out of my comfort zone. It was fun to work with programs and people I otherwise wouldn’t have interacted with!
What was your favorite part of this internship?
This is going to sound cheesy and cliché, but my favorite part of this internship was the people. Especially the team from this year. It has been so fun working alongside them. They are some of the most talented people I have met, and I look forward to seeing what they do next!
What's next?
After graduation, I plan to attend George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. I’ll study Strategic Public Relations in a political atmosphere, and I am so super excited! Moving from the Midwest to the East Coast is going to be a big change for me, but I am very excited about this opportunity!
