The College of Arts & Science recently announced the winners of its three spring 2022 Chalk Awards. These awards recognize faculty and staff for exemplary teaching and advising.

What makes the awards truly special is that the process is entirely led by students. Nominations are submitted by current A&S undergraduate students and recipients are chosen by the A&S Student Council.

Blue Chalk Award for Advising: Jennifer Bloss, Communication & Psychological Sciences

Green Chalk Award for Graduate Teaching: Kara Balthrop, School of Music

Purple Chalk Award for Teaching: Laura King, Psychological Sciences
