About Us

What is ORCA?

Research and creative activities are core components of the College of Arts & Science liberal arts education.

Through supporting these projects, the Office of Research and Creative Activities (ORCA) ensures A&S faculty and students achieve breakthrough outcomes that reach and benefit every community in Missouri — and beyond.

  • Full lifecycle support of sponsored individual and team projects — from pre-award to grant closeout.
  • Guidance for faculty and students across every department in the College of Arts & Science.
  • Facilitation and creation of interdisciplinary and intercollegiate project teams.

Center for Applied Statistics and Data Analysis (CASDA) is a professional service and research unit of the College of Arts & Science. We provide statistical consulting and expertise to departments across campus and off-campus clients.

Writing Fellows Program

The College of Arts & Science Writing Fellows, a multidisciplinary cohort program, meets weekly to help faculty navigate challenges in producing manuscripts by providing a community to incubate, nurture, and stimulate ideas.
