James Kendall joined the University of Missouri-Columbia in September 2024 as an Internship and Career Coach for the College of Arts and Science. Bringing a solid foundation in counseling and career development, James previously served as the Director of the Student Success Center and Internship Coordinator at Westminster College, along with recruitment and vocational counseling roles at Lincoln University and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
In his current position, James provides career coaching to students, guiding them through career exploration, internship searches, and post-graduation planning. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Missouri State University. His coaching-focused approach, combined with his role as a career liaison to his major departments, underscores his commitment to helping students develop their professional identities and transition successfully into the workforce.
