Beautiful fashion and inspirational design took center stage during the “Day of Ginger,” April 13. Hosted by the Missouri Historic Costume and Textile Collection (MHCTC), this special event celebrated Ginger Rogers, American Academy winning performer and Missouri native. The day culminated with the “Golden Gala,” a black-tie affair that featured designs inspired by the MHCTC's one-of-a-kind Ginger Rogers Collection and created by students in the Textile and Apparel Management program, floral couture displays by French Master Florist Frédéric Dupré, and Mizzou’s Ballroom Dance Club.
The Ginger Rogers: Dressed to Impress exhibition will be on display at the State Historical Society of Missouri until August 31.
