Each year, the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF) Program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported STEM disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited U.S. institutions. The five-year fellowship includes three years of financial support including an annual stipend of $37,000.
This year, Jordan Chiantelli-Mosenbach, a linguistics and statistics double major, is among the four Mizzou undergraduate students and one alumnus who were selected for the program, with another 14 students with Mizzou ties given honorable mention.
“It’s inspiring to see the commitment of Mizzou GRFP applicants to their highly specialized fields, their dedication to excellence and their growth as researchers over the years,” Nina Wilson-Keenan, coordinator and advisor with the Mizzou Office of Global and National Fellowships, said. “Many of them have spent countless hours in the classroom and the lab, in addition to outreach and community projects, and have explored every chance they have had to share their research and have meaningful learning experiences, including applying for previous fellowships.”

- Jordan Chiantelli-Mosebach, linguistics and statistics double major, College of Arts and Science; pursuing the Honors Certificate
