Professors George Chikhladze and Eric Parsons

Congratulations to Dr. George Chikhladze and Dr.  Eric Parsons, co-winners of the Nouss Award for Teaching Excellence!  These two $5,000 awards honor the tremendous work of Dr. Chikhladze and Parsons; they go above and beyond for our students every semester.  This recognition is made possible by a generous gift from Jay and Lisa Nouss; thank you to the Nouss family for all you do for Mizzou!

Dr. Chikhladze teaches multiple large sections of Econ 1015: Principles of Macroeconomics and Econ 3229 Money & Banking every semester.  George manages these large sections with great effectiveness, as demonstrated by his consistently high student evaluations.

Dr. Parsons teaches multiple large sections of Econ 1014: Principles of Microeconomics and serves as the Director of Undergraduate Studies for Economics.  Eric has re-branded Econ 1014 so that it is now Diversity Intensive and one of the largest and most popular courses on campus.   Dr. Parsons also serves as the faculty mentor for the new Economics Freshman Interest group and the Undergraduate Missouri Economics Society.

Congratulations, George and Eric!
