The College of Arts and Science offers more than 30 undergraduate majors and just under 50 minors ranging from art to physics. A&S is the largest college at MU, and we’re proud to be home to some of the world’s best historians, scientists, artists, authors, performers, innovators, and scholars.

Outstanding Programs
Fifteen graduate programs in A&S are ranked in the top 100 nationally by U.S. News and World Report. Other nationally recognized programs include the Summer Repertory Theatre Program and Camp Branson, MU’s summer field camp for geology students. A&S also has a nationally accredited teaching and research museum. (Fewer than 3 percent of the nation’s museums have achieved accreditation.)

Our faculty members supplement their achievements in the classroom with significant research and creative production. Faculty include American Association for the Advancement of Science fellows, members of the National Academy of Inventors, nationally recognized musicians, top statisticians, experts in communication, and many more.
