The Office of Research and Creative Activities focuses on the pre-award stage of grant funding. Our office works in a team-based environment to provide wide-ranging support to faculty, staff, and student researchers across all stages of their grant and fellowship applications.

Pre-Award Services   

  • Assist with identifying appropriate funding sources.  
  • Develop budgets and budget justifications for proposals based on project needs.  
  • Assist with submission of proposals for all granting agencies, including Grants.gov, Research.gov, National Institutes of Health (NIH) Assist, National Science Foundation (NSF) FastLane, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) NSPIRES, National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and many others. 
  • Review, format, and edit all submitted documents, as well as agency-required documents such as cover pages, current and pending support, facilities, biographical sketches, and others.   
  • Perform overall review of the proposal.  
  • Serve as a liaison with collaborative institutions to ensure all policies and procedures are followed.  
  • Complete all financial PeopleSoft records and collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Programs Administration (OSPA) for proposal submission.
