The University of Missouri’s George Caleb Bingham Gallery presents The Clay Cup: Vessel,
Icon, Canvas, a biennial juried exhibition featuring functional, design-based, and sculptural
ceramic cups. The work of over 50 artists will be on display for this show.
Free and open to the public.

The Clay Cup runs from October 20-November 17, 2016, with a free reception held on Thursday,
November 17 from 5-7pm.

The Bingham Gallery is located inside the Fine Arts Building, at the southwest corner of Hitt Street and
University Avenue in Columbia, MO. Enter from the courtyard off of Hitt Street, near the concrete
Rhynsberger Theatre sign and to the right. The main gallery entrance is immediately to the left upon
entering the Fine Arts Building from the courtyard.

The George Caleb Bingham Gallery hosts 12-15 exhibits of contemporary art, annually, including works
by professional artists and faculty, as well as undergraduate and graduate students at the University of
Missouri. Student exhibits are presented in partial fulfillment of degree programs in Fine Art and Art
Education. Visiting artists are hosted by the Department of Art and include educational presentations to
students and the general public.
