To ignite a comprehensive conversation about the grand challenge of addiction, the University of Missouri will host The Science of Addiction Symposium featuring keynote speakers of national prominence and thought leaders from a range of disciplines across the University of Missouri.

By addressing addiction from the perspectives of research, teaching, and practice, The Science of Addiction Symposium will:

  • Highlight current investigations into the problem of addiction, from etiology to genetics to treatment and beyond

  • Facilitate breakthroughs and collaborations on approaches, insights, and challenges

  • Energize broad commitments and bold steps toward a nationally recognized Center of Excellence
