In honor of its 15th anniversary, the “We Always Swing” Jazz Series has partnered with Commerce Bank to create a unique opportunity for regular automatic withdrawal contributions – recurring transactions – from a donor’s financial institution of choice.
Tax-deductible donations to the Jazz Series, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, can be made by designating a monthly amount via an automatic withdrawal from a checking or savings account or with a credit or debit card. The “$15” (per month), in honor of the Jazz Series’ 15th anniversary – a $180 annual contribution – is a suggested amount; however donors may select any amount to donate. It’s easy to participate — and totally secure.
“We’re very excited about these new developments,” says Jon Poses, jazz series executive director. “We hope that many people — those who currently donate to the Jazz Series as well as first-time donors — take advantage of the easier and more flexible way to contribute. To be affiliated with MU in general and specifically with the College of Arts and Science continues to excite us to no end.”
There are many reasons to support the Jazz Series. The Jazz Series stands as one of fewer than 10 all-jazz, independently run programs in the United States that is located in a market of 200,000 or fewer people. The area’s only jazz-specific scholarship offers students the chance to attend intensive jazz camps. Set up your automatic withdrawal today — your gift has enormous impact — ticket revenue accounts for only one-third of the organization’s total budget. It is the many individual contributors who allow the Jazz Series to continue to maintain its national standing and deliver its various performance and education-oriented programs.
