Faculty Awards 2009-2010
NOTE: The deadlines for receipt in 317 Lowry of nomination materials for these annual competitions that require divisional review are noted below.
- Submit a paper copy to 317 Lowry Hall and an electronic version as an email attachment to muasdeansofc@missouri.edu, naming each file starting with the applicant's last name followed by a document reference (i.e., Jones-Pres Tchng application).
Once the A&S Committee on Faculty Awards reviews the dossiers, we will let you know whether your nominee(s) will be forwarded and provide directions for next steps.

A&S deadline for the following awards is December 4, 2009.
- Faculty Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Intercampus Competition)
- Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Intercampus Competition)
Campus Deadline: January 6, 2010 (noon)
A&S deadline for the following awards is January 5, 2010.

- William T. Kemper Fellowships for Teaching Excellence
- President's Award for Outstanding Teaching (Intercampus Competition)
- President's Award for Research and Creativity (Intercampus Competition)
No A&S committee deadline or involvement with the following awards.

- MU Excellence in Advising Award
A&S deadline for the following award is February 1, 2010.
Campus Deadline: February 15, 2010
- 21st Century Corps of Discovery at the University of Missouri
A&S deadline for the following awards is February 12, 2010.

- C. Brice Ratchford Memorial Fellowship (Intercampus Competition)
- Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Research and Creative Activity
- Donald W. Fancher Provost Award for Outstanding Achievement in Extension and Continuing Education
- Maxine Christopher Shutz Award and Lecture for Distinguished Teaching
- Provost's Award for Creative Extension Programming by New Faculty
- Provost's Award for Leadership in International Education
- Provost's Outstanding Junior Faculty Research and Creative Activity Award
- Provost's Outstanding Junior Faculty Teaching Award
- William H. Byler Distinguished Professor Award

- Excellence in Education Award

- Curators' Professorships
- Distinguished Teaching Professorships
- Governor's Award for Excellence in Teaching
Please note:
Because of the similarity of some awards, questions regarding the most appropriate award for a particular nominee may arise. You may want to nominate an individual for a second award. In such cases, please tailor the nomination materials for each award.
Unsuccessful nominations from last year may be resubmitted for the same award if you believe that your candidate is best qualified for this year's competition. In such cases, information that is no longer current should be updated.
