Giving to Arts and Science
When the University of Missouri was established in 1839, its administrators considered the liberal arts and sciences to be the foundation of higher education. These departments have functioned as a college since the University’s earliest years, and they were officially collected under the title College of Arts and Science in 1907.
Many universities have gradually reduced or diluted the importance of the arts and sciences in their overall undergraduate programs, but the University of Missouri’s College of Arts and Science maintains its status as the citadel of a liberal education.
Our successes are a reflection of the College of Arts and Science’s dedication to its students, faculty and programs. As part of the University’s comprehensive campaign, For All We Call Mizzou, the college is building upon its strengths in the arts, the humanities and the sciences. Please join us in this worthy and historic endeavor.
Donations to the College of Arts and Science ensure that it will continue to accomplish the goals and dreams of its students, faculty and programs. more ...
