Faculty and Graduate Instructors in the College of Arts & Science at the University of Missouri at Columbia are allowed to check out iPods as needed.
Please review the following Checkout Guidelines.
All requests must be made via email to asset@missouri.edu and should include the following information (you can cut and paste this list into the email):
1) Your name
2) Department
3) email address
4) How many ipods you will need
5) How long you will need them (one class period or for 2 or more days)
6) A brief description of intended activity (ie in-class group work, pronunciation or project)
7) What time and date you would like to pick them up / return them.
8) If you need some training or would like someone to attend your class to help get the ipod activity started, please mention this as well.
Your request will be approved within 48 hours as long as there are no conflicts. If you see your reservation on the iPod calendar within 48 hours, it is approved. Otherwise, you will be contacted in order to make different arrangements.
You may check out any number of iPods at a time from 1 to 25 based on availability during the time you need them.
All requests will be honored in the order that they are received based on availability for the time period requested.
Please request your iPods at least 48 hours prior to reservation time. While we will do everything we can to get your request on the calendar and reserve your iPods regardless of when you request them, there is no guarantee that your request will be received if it is made less than 48 hours prior to the time that you need the iPods.
After your request is approved, you may pick up your iPods in the ASSET office, located in GCB 205, at the requested time unless other arrangements are made.
If students will be using the iPods outside of class, please have them sign the Student iPod Contract and keep the signed contracts on file until all iPods are returned safely. Otherwise, it will be the responsibility of the person who checked out the iPod(s) if one is lost or stolen.
In order to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to use the iPods in the classroom, you may check them out for a maximum of 2 weeks at a time. At the end of the 2 weeks, you may renew your iPod reservation, if necessary, as long as there are not any new requests for the time period in question.
If you have any questions or need assistance using the iPods, you may contact the ASSET office at: asset@missouri.edu or 884-7010.
